Mischocyttarus sp.
Busy day at the wasps home. In this photo you can see: 1: An egg or very young larva; 2: An older larva; 3: A larva closing its alveolus in order to pupate; 4: An alveolus already closed; 5: A young wasp (I guess it came out from its alveolus recently); and 6: A adult wasp tending a larva (better seen in photo #2).
Family Vespidae, Subfamily Polistinae, Tribe Mischocyttarini, Genus Mischocyttarus.

Thank you for the careful detail on the spotting, Sergio Monteiro. You are the best!!
Wonderfully presented information!
Fantástico que voce pode ver a larva fachando a célula. no caso das Polistes que eu fotografei, eu acho que são as próprias mães que lacram a entrada. eu preciso ler mais sobre eles, eu ainda não sei porque os alvéolos precisam ser fechados.
Great spot and info., Sergio!
