Description:

Large grey-and-rusty-red pigeon, easily distinguished by white speckles on wing covers and bare red skin around eyes.

Habitat:

Rocky areas and cliffs, and cities - here seen in Moussoro, small urban (or semi-urban) center of Bahr-el-Gazal in Chad. Ranging to savannah and agricultural fields for feeding. Common in Sahel belt, and East Africa. Found also on extreme south of the continent.
