Description:

The Palaearctic Grayling genus Pseudochazara is a genus of butterflies within the family Nymphalidae, sub-family Satyridae. It is confined to the Caucasus and Transcaucasia to northern Iran.

Habitat:

Arid steppe, short grassland, boulders and bare soil. Cattle grazed. Dry steep mountain slopes, 1,100 - 1,600 meters. 2nd photo shows the habitat
