Description:

These are mating stilt-legged flies, named for their characteristically long legs. The fore legs are markedly smaller than the other pairs. These flies belong to the family Micropezidae.

Habitat:

Spotted on vegetation along a transect in secondary coastal lowland mixed freshwater swamp forest/sago swamp forest.
