Maximilian Sunflower

Helianthus maximiliani

Notes:

I love these! As soon as the tall, bushier sunflowers began to wilt, these tall stalks of sunflowers began popping up in their place! We just finished a week of rain (finally, some rain to quench our drought!) I think that pepped up everything. ~~ My parents call these Jerusalem Artichokes and say that the roots are edible.
