Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

Polioptila caerulea

Description:

This one was fearless! I hopped right up in front of me, probably less that 3 feet away. It kept hopping around in the saw palmetto bushes. It's easy to forget how little these birds really are when you always see them through a camera lens, but when they get up so close to you, they are so tiny!

Habitat:

Pine flatwoods
