Lamprotornis superbus
This beautifully coloured starling is an African variation on common starlings and is just as abundant but so much more striking to look at, with a bright orange chest, electric blue back and turqouise wings that shine brightly in the African sunlight it really is a stunning bird to see.
The savannahs of East Africa, preferably near sources of water, usually found hopping around the grounds of lodges looking for scraps or worms.
You're welcome deb. Please make sure to fill in the scientific name field, so that your spotting can leave the unidentified list. Thanks!
