Bullock's Oriole - Male

Icterus bullockii

Habitat:

Desert

Notes:

My first sighting of this striking icterid! I was doing a little birding in New River and heard an unfamiliar chattering call. I found the source - this male feeding on the nectar in the ocotillo blossoms.
