Wolf's Milk Slime Mould?

Lycogala epidendrum?

Description:

No distinctive smell or taste. I'm guessing at the ID since AlanRockefeller suggested this species for a similar looking spotting: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/151... I've just read on WAB that there are a few other species that look very similar so it could be any of them! http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/forums... Lycogala terrestre? I will have to use a microscope or DNA sequencer probably

Notes:

al12. Location not exact but apparently it is a common slime mould
