Earthball sp.?

Scleroderma sp.?

Description:

uprooted when I found it. from memory this was about 3-4cm across irenea on mushroom observer thinks this could be a Scleroderma sp: http://mushroomobserver.org/118203?q=wv0... Perhaps this is how they look when they are old and have 'shed' all their spore mass!? My initial guess was Helvella leucomelaena (sooty cup)?

Notes:

bb25 location could be quite wrong
