Willet

Tringa semipalmata

Habitat:

open beaches, bay shores, marshes, mudflats, and rocky coastal zones

Notes:

"5 more minutes please; it's too cold to get up". A sleepy Willet was having a hard time getting up this morning despite a Spotted Sandpiper and a couple of Ruddy Turnstones foraging around him. It was breezy and chilly for South Florida. (50 degrees F)
