Description:

Pallenis maritima (syn. Asteriscus maritimus), commonly known as beach daisy, or "Gold coin", is an evergreen herbaceous perennial, 20 to 30cm high, in the family Asteraceae. It produces yellow "daisy" flowerheads with darker yellow centres, and the pictured plants were spotted in Mylopotamos beach, Pelion mountain, Greece.
