Abdomen was ~1 cm. In Florida, there is a nearly identical species called Leucauge venusta. The coloration is the same, but the pattern is different. http://www.spiders.us/species/leucauge-v... After learning that, I wanted to get a good photo of the abdomen to see the difference in pattern myself.
