Pale Brittlestem

Psathyrella candolleana

Description:

With the local fungi season almost forgotten these small to medium mushrooms popped up in our back yard under an acacia. About 40mm across the larger caps; some 70mm tall; cap white and darker to pale tan at the centre; some umbo; gills dense some forked, very pale pink; stipe smooth straight hollow white narrow; no frill or cortina apparent; no volva. 16 in total.

Habitat:

Suburban back yard in lawn under acacia tree.

That's what I thought CEH. Unfortunately I needed to push a noisy lawn mower around them. Thanks for the suggestion Mariana2. It looks good and those ones are around in Aus. I'll just go and check if the gills have darkened.... oh.. nothing but snail trails... that was quick :(
