Description:

Newly emerged cicada next to its exuviae. It was pink when I first found it, as shown here. I came back later to check on it and it was more brown and then it flew away. It's the time of year when I find cicada exuviae all around my house

These I found in Colorado. They were medium sized and very loud, like chainsaw loud. They kept flying toward me. If I knew they were harmless at the time I wouldn't been afraid.
