At a loss for this one, and making matters worse the flowers seem to have net yet opened up. Any help in making a positive ID would be greatly appreciated!

Looks to be on the right track, thank for getting me one step closer!
I think it's a Persicaria species. Perhaps Persicaria maculosa, though I'm not sure.
