Keeled Treehoppers

Entylia carinata

Habitat:

Canal habitat bordered by timber and weedy vegetation.

Notes:

I almost always see these after I spot the ants protecting them. Apparently, the ants have a symbiotic relationship with them, exchanging protection for the honeydew that they secrete. These individuals were about 5mm each. Those are eggs in the stem of the plant.
