Description:

Chioides zilpa is a long tailed skipper butterfly with long brown pointy wings that have some ID characteristics that are easy to see: inverted black triangle on forewings (pic2) and a horizontal white patch (bordered by black patches) on the under side of hindwing.

Habitat:

Spotted feeding on flower nectar at the National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas.
