Dienopis sp.
Nocturnal spider 2" or 50mm. This is the standard daytime resting pose. Uses small springy net held between its legs to catch prey. Dienopis but which one?
In the daytime we find them commonly hanging in spaces in foliage of a potted garden quite close to the ground. They do not seem to go far from the daytime rest. They are a summer loving spider and disappear in winter leaving egg sacks among the potted plants

Thanks LeanneGardner. She is a net casting spider. That stance is the identifying daytime resting pose. Non of the net-casting spiders on the property, and there were many, were to be found above .5m to 1m from the ground. That may be because of the pot plant habitat although there were bushes and trees overhanging. I may not have seen those above my head
This lovely spider makes me think of the Net-casting Spider, just by how it sits & that it's found low to the ground, though I'm not sure. Great spotting Stephen :)
Thanks Chocolochao
Cool spotting
