Peziza succosa
Peziza succosa is a species of apothecial fungus belonging to the family Pezizaceae. This is a European fungus which appears in summer and autumn as grey or brown saucers up to 10 cm in diameter on soil in woodland, often at pathsides. Cup shaped, or flattened, inner surface pale to dark brown, smooth, outer surface whitish or yellowish, scurfy, attached to the soil by a short stem, to about 6cm across Flesh Whitish, firm, when broken exuding a sap which turns yellow Smell Indistinct Taste Indistinct Season Late Summer to Autumn

This fungus is easily recognised by the yellow staining sap: the colour may be seen by dabbing some on a white tissue ellipsoidal, warty, 2 oil drops (17-21) x (9.5-11.5)µm2. Asci (300-330)x(12-15)µm2. Paraphyses equal, septate, slightly swollen at tips. Inedible Spotted in the S.Joâo Hospital gardens,a place where i never imagined that could sustein such a amazing variety of fungis and trees,beautiful in this season
