Barn Owls, 32 days old

Tyto alba

Description:

This was the last time I saw them before they started getting their adult feathers in, and they aren't near as cute anymore! They get more curious with me every time, I enjoy my weekly visits to see them :)

Habitat:

In an old train car lifted up off the ground in agriculture area about 5 miles north of town.

I hope they all make it too! Luckily they are lifted up off the ground several feet though. Last time I went, only 3 were looking at me, just saw the 4th one shoved in the corner. I couldn't make it out last week because of weather, everything is very flooded here. Hoping to get out one more time this week, and hope to see the 4th one alive and well, but I have my doubts.

Superb series!! Hope they all make it to adulthood. With so many predators around. What are the odds?
