Fulvous-breasted Woodpecker

Dendrocopos macei

Description:

Red cap. Black and white feathers on wings and back. Chest feathers are straw-like in colour.

Habitat:

Most houses, mine too, have bamboo poles at the four corners of the top terrace and the clothesline tied to them. this bird initially came to one of the bamboo poles on my rooftop terrace but flew off as it sighted my camera. Then it explored the bamboo pole on my neighbours rooftop but not for long.
