Recently hatched nymphs change color later after a little bit.

Thanks so much Mr.Goldfish. Good to know what False Garden Mantid hatchlings look like. Mine looked darker (body) almost black - so, probably not P.albofimbriata, either! the ones in your link definitely have beautiful shiny black eyes and the ones here seem to have paler eyes. Hopefully I'll find out next season..thanks again for looking at this spotting.

Mr. Goldfish, thanks for looking at this spotting. I think these might grow into a "False Garden Mantid" -Pseudomantis albofimbriata. We have had quite a few adults here last season and about 5 or 6 oothecas. About 80% become green-coloured adults and about 20%, brown ! These are Australian.
I can't specify the species at this stage of development.

No, they look different from Stagmomantis californica.

I wonder if these are Stagmomantis californica.

Really lucky -I almost swept them off the beam, removing cobwebs from under the pergola roof. I've spotted so many of these small mantid ootheca but never seen the little nymphs- yes, very lucky..
