Bark spider

Description:

A species of Acantheis spider not moving to camouflage itself on this tree bark. Its brown colors matches with the surrounding and the hairs breaks the outline giving it a better camouflage. It even has a tuft of hairs for a "nose"! Central body about 10mm.

Habitat:

On the tree trunk surface of a White Seraya tree (Parashorea malaanonan), one of the trees that hold the Maliau Skybridge in Maliau Basin Study Centre.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 5km diameter. I spotted this during the canopy walk tour. This would be though to see without any flash. I have to admit that this guy is so good in camouflaging that I could not realize that this is actually a spider.
