Bark Squeaker Cicada

Pauropsalta sp

Description:

A small cicada about 20mm long with a dark brown thorax and a paler abdomen. Appeared to have an ovipositor extending beyond its abdomen suggesting that this was a female. Eyes were dark and wings, clear

Habitat:

On a eucalyptus tree trunk -nature reserve

Notes:

Unfortunately this was the only shot possible as she kept flying away. I followed her "squeaking" to two other trees where she settled high-up and then, lost her. Unsure why her abdomen looked paler than those of most squeakers..and I am not able to specify this bark squeaker as I have found no match to my insect. My reference link is to highlight some similarities.
