Royal Terns

Thalasseus maximus

Habitat:

Shorelines/beaches through out most of the Americas.

Notes:

This family seemed to be weaning their chick. The chick was loudly begging for food, but the parents appeared not concerned. They were among a large flock of mostly laughing gulls and a few brown pelicans this morning at Miami Beach. The last photo is the juvenile.
