Description:

This was taken about 6 weeks after the previous picture http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/157... and there is no sign of fruit, the dead flower stems just drop off. As of today (Nov 18) it is just a plain old but tall cactus.

Hi ceherzog, Seema made a similar suggestion, cereus repandus, on this same plant on the previous spotting 6 weeks earlier. This now raises 2 questions. Firstly, do you know if the 2 binomials are both correct or has it been changed from one to the other? Secondly, I asked about the fruit earlier as this one never seems to have any. Is it because it is too young or because there is no other similar plant nearby (like cherry trees need)?
