Macropus agilis nigrescens
These gorgeous Wallabies are "sandy brown and may appear reddish in some populations. The underside is light coloured and generally white. They have two distinctive head features: a dark stripe down the midline between to ears to the eyes and a light [whiteish] colour cheek-stripe. They also have a distinctive light stripe on the thighs. The margins of the ears and the tail tip are black." (http://www.rootourism.com/fsheet15.htm )
Coming in for a drink at the waste water wetlands.
This is a young Wallaby. I had seen in coming in for a drink so stayed really still and was in full view. Thankfully just being still was enough to get a couple of pics :) Here is an interesting fact: "Like other kangaroos, the Agile Wallaby has the ability to become pregnant while still carrying its pouch-young. The newly fertilized embryo ceases cell division and becomes dormant (called embryonic diapause) until the pouch is vacated. This ability allows the wallaby to breed rapidly."
