Ah! I thought I had it, haha! They are very similar. Now I see the lack of spots. Darn. I will withdraw my suggestion. I believe you are correct, bayucca!

Pieridae, Pyrisitia proterpia. Eurema mexicana has too many tiny spots. Pyrisitia proterpia and Luis' has only one very tiny one (in the middle of the central vein on the forewing) and the same "patches".

This is most certainly a butterfly. You can see in the second picture the club shaped antennae.

It looks like a Mexican Yellow, Eurema mexicana, to me.
