Cracticus nigrogularis
It grows about 35 cm (14 in) long and has black and white plumage. The colour of juvenile birds, which are accompanied by their parents, is brown and white.
The Pied Butcherbird is found across much of Australia, except the far south and Tasmania. It is a bird of open woodlands and scrublands, but avoids the most arid environments.

Very nice series!
At first when I saw the first picture I thought immature Grey Butcherbird, then saw the second one and so glade you were able to get the adult in the same photo. Lovely find!!
