Treehopper

Description:

Small Treehopper, about 5 mm. Black and white with really pretty pink and white eyes. I only got 2 pictures before it flew away. Still looking for it!! Family Membracidae.

Habitat:

On a woody plant with fuzzy leaves, Rancho Nuevo Park, 10 km west of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.

Your treehopper is definitely a different species, but also very cool!

Hi Felix, I haven't found the species yet either. Did you get a picture of the one in Queretaro? I haven't seen this one before.

Very cool! I just found one that looks similar a couple of days ago, here in Querétaro. haven't been able to figure out what it is, though.
