Common bird of prey in Europe. The common buzzard is medium-sized (~55cm tall and ~100cm wingspan). Its plumage is very variable with patches of white, light brown and dark brown.
Nests in woodlands, but usually preys on open lands. It is found across all western Europe (year round), central Asia (breeding) and East Africa (winter range)
