Habitat:

It is a common and widespread species found in Colombia, Venezuela, Surinam, Guyana, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and northern Argentina. The butterfly is associated with primary and secondary rainforest habitats. It seems to be confined to a maximum altitude of about 1000 m.
