Rue Anemone

Thalictrum thalictroides

Description:

Delicate plant with roundish, shallowly lobed leaves, thin stems and flowers composed of white, showy sepals with clusters of greenish pistils and thin stamens. This flower has no petals. The flowers of this plant can sometimes have a pink hue, though all the ones I saw were white.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Pocahontas State Park, Virginia.
