Description:

Hylephila phyleus is a common grass skipper butterfly found from Canada to Argentina. The underside of wings is yellowish-tan with scattered dark markings. The upper-side seen in pic 2.

Habitat:

Spotted at the National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas.
