Potter Wasp nest

Description:

Small gray "pot" made from mud. From Subfamily Eumeninae. Possibly Eumenes fraternus judging from the range.

Habitat:

Several of these were constructed on the side of a pillar by the front door of the house where I was staying. Most were destroyed but this one remained.

Notes:

Not sure what species made this lovely little construction. It was a bit too cold and past their season, none were around.
