Description:

The first time I've seen Redpolls in my area. Acanthis flammea is a small, sparrow-like bird with long, almost electric calls. They have a deep red cap, and the males have a slightly red breast.

Habitat:

Distributed in the northern part of North America.

Thanks Namitha! I was surprised to see them so close together too! I think they were both males, which makes it more interesting why they wouldn't be bothered by each other's presence.

Cool spotting, the second one is really pretty, to get two birds so close in one frame. It's quiet amazing.
