Pelecanus conspicillatus
Very large bird with the longest beak of any known. Often seen enjoying the air currents up high in groups or alone.
Wherever there is sufficient standing water in Australia and New Guinea. Australian water birds are found deep inland as soon as the first rains flush the deserts and people have yet to understand how they know there is water
This is a group of wild birds at The Entrance in NSW Australia which are fed daily to attract tourists. After the feeding they spread back throughout the lagoons and up the coast along the beaches
