Spotted this bee-like robberfly(?) (bumble bee impostor) buzzing around my front yard yesterday! It seemed quite agitated that I was photographing it and buzzed my head after I snapped a few shots.
Disturbed, mowed field with a couple of overgrown brush-piles and nearby blackberry bushes
