Jewel Beetle

Description:

A small beetle wandering on a fern. It has metallic green elytra and orange thorax. This beetle is uncommon as I have only seen this species about 3 times only. This species can be confused as it's larger look alike - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/130... Could be an Anadastus sp. (Languriinae)

Habitat:

Rainforest of Tawau Hills Park, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 1km diameter. Another similar one from Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/zhsteve/621... I had already finished uploading all my Maliau Basin spottings and currently I am uploading spottings from Tawau Hill Park 3 years ago.
