Oriental Common Evening Brown (wet season form)

Melanitis leda leda

Description:

I disturbed this butterfly which was hidden in some dried leaves. It didn't fly away immediately, it seemed to try and hide by blending in with the dried leaves. Hard to see again when I took my eyes off it.

Beautiful Pam! It looks like the wet season form of The Evening Brown (Melanitis leda), though I'm not sure if they're in India ?
