Description:

Males have blue-grey wings with black spots and white undersides with black barring. The back is red/tan, with barring on the lower half. The belly and flanks are white with black spotting. The tail is also red/tan, with a white or brown tip and a black sub-terminal band

Habitat:

The most common hawk in North America, it is found in a variety of habitats. It is also fairly common in Central and South America.
