Danaus chrysippus
Danaus chrysippus, known as the Plain Tiger or African Monarch, is a common butterfly which is widespread in Asia and Africa. It belongs to the Danainae ("Milkweed butterflies") subfamily of the brush-footed butterfly family, Nymphalidae. It is a medium-sized, non-edible butterfly, which is mimicked by multiple species.

Hey Pamsai, beautiful tigers but could you please remove from Monarch Migration mission? I see one of the common names for D. chrysippus is similar to D. plexippus however the mission is for D. plexippus Monarchs. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for your help!
And yes the top is male! You can tell by the white and black dot on the hind wing which is absent on females.
Is that the male on top?
