Hi studenny! I have updated the spotting for you with the scientific name and a reference link. I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. Did you try to do it from the app or on the main site? Did you make sure you clicked on Save changes when you updated?

I have updated the sighting three times with the scientific name, and some other information. The sight shows it as being updated, but then reverts to the original. Any suggestions?

It's ok Jellis, I just enjoy Project Noah and try to help if I can. No offence mate :-)

I believe the common name was there in the first place Jellis... Same with the blue tongue lizard in the same collection. It was showing as Unidentified because of a lack of scientific name. A problem with many spottings on Project Noah unfortunately :-(
studenny, if you do know the species in your spottings, you can easily find out the binomial name using Google and Wikepedia or EOL. If you have doubts about the exact species, tick the "Help with ID" box when you submit the spotting. Giving a scientific name to your spotting gets it off the Unidentified list, also links it to similar spottings in the PN database. Thanks and welcome to Project Noah!

Sorry Sara, they did change the ID name. My comment was to remind to add the scientific name.

Thanks you Jellis! Both Sarah and I thought your comment was addressed to her. We like to give users at least a day after a suggestion is made to update their spotting before reminding them.

Yes but but she is only suggesting it. It doesn't automatically change it. Studenny has to edit the page and add it. If not it will stay in unknown list.
My comment is directed at studenny to ask them to add it.

I can see the scientific name in Sarah's suggestion. It is up to the user to accept it in the app, or enter the details on the main site, for it to appear as identified.

The scientific name is not. It's not showing. When enter that in it's proper box it will remove it from unknown and it will be added .in the database

That is exactly the ID I have given it in the ID tagging field.

Don't forget to also add the scientific name Gymnorhina tibicen hypoleuca

Made an ID as the iPhone app did not show any details for Scientific name.

My information came from:
