Micro Fungus Weevil

Description:

Tiny 2mm Fungus Weevil, very hairy with a mottled brown and black pattern on the pronotum and elytra. It has a slightly prolonged downward facing proboscis (2nd picture) and straight clubbed antennae. Family Anthribidae.

Habitat:

Garden lights, semi-rural residential area, San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico, 2,200 meters.
