We passed a small village with a lot of forest (I don't know the name). There flew thousands if not millions of these butterfly around. It was an amazing sight/experience.

Thanks, not close enough to be certain about the (different?) species. Some are certainly not Bicyclus sandace (spots too large). I would go with Satyrinae/Satyrs.

Definitely a mass of Satyrinae, Dark Vulgar Bush Brown, Bicyclus sandace???
