Argentine snake-necked turtle

hydromedusa tectífera

Description:

There were many different kinds of turtles in the turtle place I visited at the zoo. Supposedly Campanita ones, Argentine snake-necked ones and Morrocoyó turtles. In the first picture the Morrocoyó and campanita can easily be spotted in the turtle sun bath jumble. On the second one, I think an argentine snake-necked one can be spotted as its skin seem to match the one of this kind and the face too; however I would be very greatful if someone can check this too.

Habitat:

Uruguay, southern Brazil and East of Argentina.
