What were they thinking? They are sitting on a black mat in the sweltering heat. We were having record Highs and a very long heat wave. It was like they were at the Beach. Once in a while they would spread their wings across the mat and just kind of squat and lay there. They sat here for about 45 minutes in this heat. The Temperature was around 38'C.

I found this behavior very peculiar, I never saw Magpies do this before.
