Description:

Mask like face bearing eye-like spots. Green. It is a false face in no way connected to his real eyes and mouth (See picture 3). Stripe around false head. Designed to frighten birds. It passes the winter as a chrysalis. The butterfly emerges when the lilacs bloom.

Habitat:

Trees and shrubs. It will feed upon these leaves. Later in life they rest in the leaves by spinning a web of silk. The web will curl-up into a partial tube.

Notes:

A striking creature of perfect beauty.
