Description:

Bright green, no wings noted, possibly a nymph.

Habitat:

Spotted in my flower bed, stalking butterflies and skippers attracted to the flowers.

This looks like a mantis nymph from genus Tenodera. The more common species is the Chinese Mantis (Tenodera sinensis). Here is a link to help. http://bugguide.net/node/view/386
